Eagle, Colorado is a quaint and relaxed western town. Located 30 minutes west of Vail this friendly community is situated along the Eagle River, and is composed of family ranches, quit neighborhoods, community centers, parks, restaurants, shops and the county court buildings. The Eagle Valley Regional Airport is conveniently located just a few miles west of town. This wide meandering valley makes for warm sunny days year round. Its unique topography offers magnificent views of green rolling hills, long valley vistas, and snow capped mountain peaks.
The new community of Eagle Ranch sits adjacent to downtown Eagle. It is comprised of 650 home sites strategically positioned around the Arnold Palmer designed 18-hole public golf course. With miles of recreational paths, epic hiking and biking trails, beautiful family parks, longer summers, a lower altitude, brilliant blue skies, and great schools Eagle has quickly become a wonderful community for all.
What were once fields, pastures and ranch land, is quickly becoming a popular residential area. Gypsum got its name from the large amounts of gypsum deposits in the soil, a mineral consisting of hydrous calcium sulfate used in making drywall, and is therefore home of the American Gypsum Drywall Plant and Mine. Recent development has turned this sleepy little country town into a popular and up-and-coming town. The development of the Cotton Ranch Golf Community has provided this warm down valley town with a Pete Dye designed 18-hole golf course. The town recently added a brand new, state of the art, recreation center complete with a lap pool, water slide, lazy river, indoor running tack, gymnastics facilities, an indoor climbing gym and more. Gypsum is conveniently located just west of the Eagle County Regional Airport and Costco and 30 minutes from Beaver Creek.
